Anne Taylor, the chief executive of Thorngate Churcher Trust in Gosport, is one of three on the shortlist of the Making a Difference Award in the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards.

Anne was short-listed for her work at Thorngate where she oversees an organisation with a turnover in excess of £2m, with 80 employees, more than 120 warden-supported sheltered flats and a 44-bed care home.

Anne said: '˜I'm delighted to have been nominated for this prestigious award. The trust celebrates its 150th anniversary this year so to feature on the short-list in such a milestone year is an added bonus.'
