A DIRECTOR of Farlington-based air conditioning and refrigeration firm, DCI Refrigeration, has braved chilly temperatures of his own to raise more than £11,000 for charity.

John Drain, who co-founded the business, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, in bracing temperatures of -16C, for the Country Holidays for Inner City Kids charity.

It took him eight days to make the 5,895m climb and another two days to descend to the plains of Tanzania.
