City cheese festival sells out in hours

IT'S already shaping up to be an '˜Edam' good day as tickets for local cheese festival sell out in a matter of hours.

Cheese Fest Portsmouth has taken the city by storm as tickets for the cheese-filled day sold out in less than three hours.

The festival is to take place on Saturday, September 23, at Portsmouth Guildhall.

Pre-sale tickets for the extravaganza went on sale at the end of last week and sold out within a day.

General sale tickets were only on sale for less than three hours before the event completely sold out.

One of the organisers Luke Betts said: ‘We’re really sorry to everyone that couldn’t get tickets.

‘We can’t believe it ourselves how fast this event sold out.’

If you have missed out on tickets for this year’s event, the festival will be returning next year for a two-day extravaganza due to popular demand for those who missed out this year.

A limited amount of tickets will be available on the door on the day of the event but on a one-in one-out basis.
