EMPLOYEE achievements were celebrated at a service provider’s first people awards.

The Our People Awards were held by Colas at the London Transport Museum.

Short-listed people and teams from across the business attended the ceremony, which saw Colas chief executive Lee Rushbrooke reveal the winners and runners-up for each of the six categories.

He said: ‘At Colas, our people are at the heart of what makes us great, and it was a pleasure to present the Colas Our People Awards.

‘Congratulations to all of our winners and runners-up. They showed real commitment and dedication to Colas, truly representing our company values.’

Tom Garrett, from Portsmouth, was runner-up in the Leader of the Year category and Linzi Stean, from Portsmouth, was runner-up in the Community involvement category.

Donna Hitchcock, Colas HR associate director, said: ‘There were over 100 nominations received from across the business. Being nominated, let alone short-listed, is an incredible achievement, and one all our nominees should be proud of.’
