A NURSERY’S plans to increase the number of children able to play in its back garden are in jeopardy.
Teddy Bears Nursery School, in Southampton Road, Portsmouth, wants to increase the capacity from 10 to 20.
Despite parents coming out in support, council officers have recommended the plans be refused as the increase in noise and disturbance would have a ‘significant impact’ on nearby residents.
They also believe the proposed increase is ‘excessive’.
The proposals will be discussed by the council’s planning committee at a meeting on Wednesday in the executive meeting room of Portsmouth Guildhall from 5pm.
