Unions plan rally to mark two years of Southern rail strikes over train guards

FAREHAM-based waste management company L&S Waste has welcomed a proposal by the Office of Fair Trading to investigate competition in the concrete industry. The OFT has released a report which shows competition is being restricted, not least by the conduct of major firms towards smaller operators.

Mick Balch, managing director of L&S Waste, said further investigation of the major players would be a win for local and regional businesses, as well as for customers.
