Chinese takeaway in Wickham opens again - under yet more new management
A CHINESE takeaway that closed due to hygiene issues then reopened under different management, then closed again due to coronavirus has opened again.
The New Panda in The Square, Wickham opened in November.
The business was formerly known as Panda and its previous manager manager An Lee and owner Mohammed Riaze were fined £12,000 for a series of cleanliness failings at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court in September.
The New Panda was subsequently overhauled and deep cleaned, reopening with a new look, new manager and new name – New Panda.
It closed temporarily in March due to the coronavirus restrictions and said it would not be returning in August.
However, new management reopened the takeaway last month – prompting locals to dub it the ‘New New Panda’. It is now open Wednesday to Monday, closed on Tuesdays.
