After reviewing the latest data, the government announced on August 13 that bowling alleys and other venues listed above could open again on August 15.

However not all businesses have been allowed to reopen by the government.

The following places still have to remain shut:

- Nightclubs

- Dance halls

- Discotheques

- Sexual entertainment venues

- Hostess bars

All indoor and outdoor hospitality including, cafes, bars, pubs, and restaurants, can open unless they are a part of the premises of a business or venue which must remain closed. They can open if they are in self-contained units that can be accessed from the outside.

On the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s website it says: ‘We hope to continue to phase reopening further businesses as soon as possible, and will work with local councils which have a high prevalence of Covid-19 to consider local measures and guidance reflecting where further business openings could be delayed.
