Nike Factory Store in Gunwharf Quays closes queue early

The Nike store in Gunwharf Quays has closed its queue early on the day it reopened after it proved popular with shoppers.

Photos taken this morning show people queuing to get into the shop, one of many which opened at the shopping centre today as the government eased lockdown restrictions.

This afternoon Gunwharf Quays confirmed that because of the number of people waiting to get into the shop, the queue would have to close early.

The shopping centre tweeted: ‘Please note that the Nike Gunwharf Quays store currently has a long queue, and as such will be closing the queue for today.

The Nike store shut on March 16, with the company saying it would close for two weeks initially to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
