Anita added: ‘We have all experienced unprecedented times recently, but we are eager to be able to play a small role in still being at the heart of our community.

‘During lockdown we started a takeaway food service, which we are still currently operating, in addition to eat-in.

‘It has been hugely popular, and it was great to be able to stay in touch with our locals. We have now been reopen since July 7 and it is great to welcome all our customers, safely, back through our doors so we can celebrate this award with them.’

The Stags Head is owned by Stonegate Pub Company.
