Have your say

PEOPLE are being invited to find out more about the final frontier – space.

For one weekend Gunwharf Quays will be transformed into a space station.

It will give visitors the chance to explore space and the idea of time travel.

The event is part of the 2011 Portsmouth Festivities, which is celebrating Portsmouth as a space city.

Cosmic entertainment includes getting to use telescopes, a short film giving information on stars, and an opportunity to ask experts from space company Astrium about making satellites and arts and crafts.

Astronomy books will also be available to buy.

The event runs from midday to 3pm and 6pm to 9pm on Friday, June 17.

The next day people can visit from 10am to 7pm and Sunday between 10am to 6pm.
