SHOPPERS were asked to share their ideas about the future of Southsea seafront at Cascades shopping centre.
Portsmouth City Council brought a touch of the beach yesterday to gain public opinion over its masterplan to overhaul the seafront.
It was a chance for the authority to capture people’s thoughts before it finalises its vision for the city.
Cllr Steve Wylie, the council’s cabinet member of housing, said: ‘We’re trying lots of ways to get people involved, so we reach as many people as possible.
‘It’s their city so we want to hear from them about how the seafront and the city centre should develop.
