Council to spend Â£1.8m on improving Hampshire's roads this summer
HAMPSHIRE County Council are set to spend Â£1.8m on improving roads across the county this summer.
The local authority will carry out a range of improvements that includes footway repairs, gully and sign cleaning, renewing road markings and clearing vegetation.
Extra highways gangs will be out making improvements and repairs on urban and rural routes throughout the county.
Councillor Rob Humby, executive member for transport at the council, said: ‘I’m pleased to see this extra funding is being put to good use.’
