CREATIVE businesses in Portsmouth are being offered the opportunity to learn how to raise funds.

The Cracking the Safe seminar, organised by Cibas, will help artists, designers, performers and writers find new ways to obtain money for businesses, including through crowd-funding – asking lots of people to invest small amounts – and the Arts Council.

Speakers include Emma Wilcox from the Arts Council England South East, Henrietta Norton from the crowd-funding website We Did This, and Maxine Horn, head of Creative Barcode, who will speak about how creative people can license their work.

The seminar will take place at Aspex Gallery, Gunwharf Quays, on Thursday, April 26, between 6pm and 8pm.
