Credit union offers up grants of Â£250

GROUPS, event organisers and charities are being urged to apply for grants of Â£250.

The scheme is being run by Hampshire Credit Union, a not-for-profit community bank based in Portsmouth, as part of its Community Grant Programme.

Twice a year, they give £250 to help organise local events or support groups that might need financial assistance.

CEO Gary Moran said: ‘This is our way of putting something back into the community. Some worthwhile causes apply and this is an opportunity to help local people.’
