Culture minister Ed Vaizey today visited the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and declared it a ‘world-beating’ attraction.

Mr Vaizey last saw the museum in November 2012, a few months before it opened for the first time.

He was invited back today to tour the attraction and see the artefacts which have been put on display.

Mr Vaizey told The News: ‘It is incredible.

‘The staff and volunteers here have done an amazing job.’
