Cyclists pedal 930 miles across Europe to raise £40k for charity
A TEAM of 42 riders are taking part in an epic bike ride from London to Zurich.
The team, who all work for insurance firm Zurich, will be pedalling 930 miles across 10 countries in just six days, to raise £40,000 for charity.
This is the ninth year that a team, led by cycling enthusiast Jason Foyle from Fareham, have embarked upon fundraising for the firm’s charity arm The Zurich Community Trust.
A team of 14 core riders will complete the full ride, alongside day riders from each of Zurich’s offices joining for different legs.
The ride kicked off at Zurich’s London office on Wednesday and will finish with a reception on Friday, May 27 in Zurich.
Pam Webb, head of Zurich Community Trust, said: ‘We wish the riders well. Their fantastic fundraising efforts will help us continue our vital work helping to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged people.’
