A CAR transport specialist is the latest business to berth at purpose-built offices in one of the south’s leading marinas.

In a deal through regional commercial property agency Hughes Ellard, Southern Counties Car Deliveries has signed a two-year lease on an upper deck office at 27 The Slipway, Port Solent.

Hughes Ellard acted for Premier Marinas Limited, which owns and operates Port Solent.

Southern Counties Car Deliveries, which employs around 30 people, delivers vehicles across the UK for clients, ranging from car dealerships and corporates to individuals.

Port Solent, which is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year, is the third largest marina in England with 808 berths.

Harnish Patel, a business space agent with Fareham-based Hughes Ellard, said: ‘There is a thriving business hub at Port Solent, which is very much a destination venue because of the restaurants, multiplex cinema and David Lloyd health and fitness club, as well as the marina.’
