HAVANT flare firm Chemring Marine has been sold.

Its parent company, Chemring, has sold its marine arm to Drew Marine, and will be renamed Drew Marine Signal and Safety.

Its headquarters will still be based at the Langstone Technology Park in Havant.

The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of July.

Chemring Marine manufactures the market-leading Pains Wessex and Comet brands.

Pains Wessex and Comet products have been helping to save lives for more than 100 years and are used by the world’s navies, merchant fleets, fishing vessels, rescue services, airlines and leisure craft.
