DEBENHAMS in Southsea is set to close early next year.

The retail giant’s new owners are looking to shore up the businesses future and say they are closing 22 shops in 2020 and the Palmerston Road stores is set to be axed. 

Debenhams has released a list of the stores facing the axe early next year and the Southsea store is on the list.

Debenhams also has stores in Commercial Road in central Portsmouth as well as Fareham.
