AN ENTREPRENEUR has opened her second boutique store, after spending 20 years working out of her home studio.
Hayling Island jewellery designer Charlotte Cornelius designs and makes pieces for bespoke, private or general customers.
Now Charlotte has launched The Workshop, her second boutique, this time in Marmion Road, Southsea.
Charlotte plucked up the courage to start her own business, building a reputation with her bespoke engagement and wedding ring designs.
In 2013, while working from home, the business owner won The News Woman of the Year in Fashion award.
In 2015, Charlotte opened her first store in Castle Road.
The store offers designs, collections and private commissions.
Due to high demand, two years later the jewellery designer needed a bigger workshop.
Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Lee Mason opened The Workshop on Saturday.
The Workshop offers hallmarked sterling silver and precious metals and gemstones, ready-to-wear collections, individually designed engagement and wedding rings, eternity rings and anniversary jewellery.
An on-site goldsmith and staff are on hand to give design advice to customers.
The store layout features a glazed partition so that customers can view the large custom-built workshop.
At the store opening, Charlotte said: ‘More than 20 bottles of champagne and a couple of hundred gin and lime truffles, a handful of bloggers and wedding planners, and one Deputy Lord Mayor later, we can safely say it was an amazingly successful launch for The Workshop,
‘We’ve been supported by both new and long-standing customers, and friends from far and wide.
‘Our incredible team didn’t stop all day!’
