A PORTSMOUTH company was showcased in France yesterday as part of a Diversity Day.

Students on programmes at Astrium hosted a workshop at The International Paris Airshow Le Bourget.

Astrium is part of the EADS group, which invited young people, graduates and professionals to find out more about diversity within the defence and aerospace industry and its related services.

Jussi Itävuori, head of HR at EADS, said: ‘Diversity gives competitive advantage for a company.

Diversity provides for a huge reservoir of different skills, talents and capabilities.

‘It would be unwise not to use it. This is why we are committed to increase diversity among our workforce.’
