A NEW law firm has been created following the merger of Blake Lapthorn and Morgan Cole.

BL Claims Solicitors has been launched following the decision to bring the two successful companies together.

Personal injury, clinical negligence and travel lawyers are now operating under the name BL Claims Solicitors.

It has 50 existing staff and is actively recruiting new teams of lawyers as part of its growth strategy.

Specialist lawyers from Blake Lapthorn form the core of BL Claims Solicitors, which has its largest team in Southampton and solicitors also based in locations around the country including Portsmouth, Cardiff, London, Oxford and Reading.

BL Claims Solicitors will build on Blake Lapthorn’s 25 years’ experience and reputation in clinical negligence, personal injury and travel claims, with a particular focus on catastrophic claims.

The firm is headed up by Dr John White, a dual-qualified solicitor and doctor who has vast experience.

He was previously head of the clinical negligence team at Blake Lapthorn.

Dr White said: ‘Our clinical negligence, personal injury and travel claims teams have built up a great reputation for offering high quality advice and delivering expertise with empathy.

‘We are taking this reputation forward with the launch of BL Claims Solicitors, and as we actively recruit to grow our teams.’

He will be supported by Alison McClure as non-executive Director, who will advise on business strategy and financial management.
