A FAMILY-run firm has been named a winner at regional manufacturer awards.
Barnbrook Systems Ltd in Fareham scooped the Aerospace and Defence title at the Made in the South East Awards at the Hilton Hotel, Gatwick Airport.
The business was also a finalist in the SME Manufacturing Company of the Year and Technology Award categories.
It claimed the honours after a bumper 2016 when demand soared for its trailblazing BlueCube remote condition monitoring technology.
It followed a six-figure contract with aerospace and defence giant Leonardo.
Andrew Barnett, Barnbrook’s chief technology officer, said: ‘The awards highlighted the tremendous talent, innovation and vision in British manufacturing. We were delighted to win the award and be a finalist in two more categories.
‘It caps a very successful year for Barnbrook when we have further demonstrated the business value we can bring through our innovative approach and drive for excellence.’
Barnbrook Systems, based in Fareham Park Road, is a designer, developer and manufacturer of electronic and electro-mechanical switching devices.
