Emporium opens at marina

A POP-UP emporium showcasing the work of artists is the latest business to open at Royal Clarence Yard.

The Emporium opened in the former Flour Mill at the Gosport marina on Sunday.

The business is the brainchild of a small group of artists and crafts people, led by Julie D’Arcy.

She said: ‘We contain an eclectic range of beautiful and unusual gifts and artworks as well quirky crafted items, from around 20 local creatives.’

Guests flocked to the shop for its opening and to chat to artists and to enjoy entertainment.

The Emporium will open on a trial basis until December 23, Wednesday until Sunday.

After a decade of little retail activity on the waterfront, there are now two new restaurants and a café; The Victualler, Arty’s at Royal Clarence and The Wendy House.
