SOUTHERN Electric is to become the first energy company to set up a regional customer forum – and it’s likely one will be held in Havant.

The firm, which has a large office in the town, says it will be an independently-chaired 12-strong forum ‘which will provide an opportunity for honest feedback and challenging discussion about the issues that affect energy customers in England’.

During the course of the year, forum members will be granted access all areas across the Southern Electric organisation and to its senior management team.

The forum will meet four times a year, including visits to key locations such as Southern Electric’s Havant head office, Marchwood Power Station in Southampton and its state-of-the-art Thatcham training centre.

The firm hopes the 12-strong panel will represent all types of domestic energy user.
