A SCHEME aimed at helping businesses find and switch to cheaper energy tariffs is now working with businesses in Havant.

The scheme, backed by Havant Borough Council and Hampshire County Council, is free and firms can register at with businesses under no obligation to change supplier.

Once a business has registered online, an energy expert from the scheme will make contact to ask for some basic information, before searching for a better 

Switch Hampshire will then help businesses that choose to accept the new tariff through the switching process and provide post-contract management.

Councillor Mike Fairhurst, who is responsible for operational services, said: ‘This scheme will help those that want to get involved to reduce their costs by taking the hassle out of switching.’

Registration for small and medium-sized companies open until November 25.
