Hampshire County Council is holding the event, called Showcasing your Future, on November 2 at Ashburton Hall, Elizabeth II Court, Sussex Street, Winchester.

Around 20 exhibitors, from across the council and other organisations, such as Hampshire Constabulary and highways contractor Amey, will highlight the apprenticeships and training opportunities on offer for school and college leavers.

There will be information and advice available for those interested more generally in a career in the public sector.

Councillor Peter Edgar, executive member for education, said: ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to learn more about what the county council can offer them in the way of training and employment. I hope that many young people, from all over the county, will make the most of what this event has to offer.’
