EMPLOYERS are grouping together to support more disabled people getting into jobs.

Portsmouth is looking to host its first Disability Confident Event for employers this week as part of a government pledge to half the disability employment gap and create opportunities.

The event will be hosted by Portsmouth South MP Flick Drummond and Portsmouth North MP Penny Mordaunt.

Held at Fratton Park on Friday, it will give businesses the chance to find out more about hiring disabled people.

It is on between 10am and 1pm.
