THE company which runs Langstone Technology Park in Havant has been given a gold award for its commitment to health and safety.

Fasset is one of a number of firms around the UK which will be presented with the award by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents at a ceremony in May.

Fasset’s business excellence manager, Shirley Cuthbertson, said: ‘The team at Fasset has developed stringent site safety regulations and audits which have delivered exceptional results as illustrated by our recent certifications.

‘Fasset’s professionalism, expertise and commitment to occupational health and safety, continues to drive a real focus in this area throughout our business, and we are delighted not just to be recognised for our achievements by RoSPA, but to receive a gold award.’

The RoSPA accolade follows Fasset’s recent recertification for the British Standards Institute.

The company was able to demonstrate an exceptionally low accident rate, structured induction and a tailored training programme in occupational health and safety.
