COACH operator Lucketts has been voted as one of the best in the country at a prestigious travel award ceremony.

The Fareham-based firm, which includes Coliseum Coaches in Southampton and Worthing Coaches in West Sussex, picked up the title of Best Coach Operator for Groups at the UK Group Travel Awards.

The company was voted the best by readers of GTO Magazine – a leading travel industry publication.

Lucketts came out on top, ahead of other coach firms nationwide.

Lucketts product controller Maria Pond and group marketing executive Laura Bainbridge collected the award, presented by TV personality Christopher Biggins at a ceremony held at the Park Plaza Hotel in London.

Ian Luckett, joint managing director, said: ‘Last year Lucketts was runner-up in the same category, so we’re absolutely delighted to have won this award.

‘It is recognition for the hard work and exceptional levels of customer service that our staff and drivers deliver every day.

‘We’re particularly proud to know that this award is a testimony from our customers.’
