TJ Transport in Fareham has announced it will form a partnership with Europe’s leading white salt importer .

The firm will distribute white de-icing salt to local authorities in preparation for winter.

The salt from NGS Corporation PLC will be distributed by rail to minimise carbon footprint.

TJ Transport will work alongside to collect and deliver to the Highways Agency M1 junction 20 Storage Barn, among other locations.

TJ Transport has six articulated tippers, each capable of up to 29-tonne payloads.

The firm’s managing director John Gosling said: ‘The investment in both our staff and fleet ensures we are well-equipped to win contracts on this scale. We’re both pleased and privileged to be the haulier of choice, distributing a product that keeps the nation going through inclement winter weather.’
