A £750,000 teaching block at a college will be refurbished by a Fareham construction company.

Amiri Construction signed a contract with Chichester College to refurbish the college’s hospitality training facilities, which are within one of the main teaching blocks.

Shelagh Legrave, principal and chief executive of the college, met with Amiri Construction’s managing director Grahame Pettit to sign the deal.

Mrs Legrave said: ‘The new state-of-the-art training hospitality facilities, including new kitchens and restaurants, are vital to help meet the catering industry requirements in the region.’

The £750,000 contract will include a single-storey extension and the refurbishment of the entire ground floor space.

Amiri Construction previously built a £1.9m teaching block at Chichester College’s Brinsbury Campus in 2013.
