Fareham salon is named as one of the best in the country

Kate Preston Hair and Beauty Salon, in Arundel Drive, was named Hair Salon of the Year South East at the English Hair and Beauty Awards.

The team collected their accolade at a glamorous ceremony held at The Athena in Leicester on Sunday, March 19.

Salon owner Kate Preston said: ‘The was fabulous and the team loved it.

‘Nights like this give them recognition for the hard work they do. It was a fantastic evening.’

The salon has been in business for 40 years, with Kate starting work there when she was 17, before she finally took the reins 11 years ago.

Kate and the salon have won numerous awards – Kate was named top female stylist in the country at last year’s English Hair and Beauty Awards and the salon was short-listed in the Salon of the Year category.

Kate also won the Lifetime Achievement award at The News’ Hair and Beauty Awards 2016.
