Fareham takeaway to hold its annual fundraiser

Each year Abu-Suyeb Tanzam, who owns Gandhi Indian Takeaway in Anjour Crescent, Fareham, holds the event to raise money for the mayor of the town’s chosen charities.

All profits from any order placed on Monday evening will go to the good causes picked by Cllr Mike Ford, with some going to Cancer Research UK.

Mr Tanzam said they had already raised £700 for Cancer Research UK but he was 
hopeful of raising more on Monday.

He said: ‘All proceeds will be donated to the mayor’s chosen charities – The Dave Wellman Cancer Trust and Gosport & Fareham Inshore Rescue Service, as well as Cancer Research UK. I give 100 per cent credit to our customers and friends and families for their tremendous support over many years and hope they will continue to do so for such a good cause.’
