Fashion chains move into city department store

A HIGH street fashion chain says it is still committed to Portsmouth following the announcement that Marks & Spencer will be closing its store later this year.

Clothes stores Wallis, which was in a unit next to Marks & Spencer in Commercial Road, and Miss Selfridge, which was in the unit above Wallis, closed in December and the store has been empty since.

However a statement from Arcadia Group, which runs the stores, said: ‘Both Wallis and Miss Selfridge are now trading within Debenhams in the city.

‘So shoppers will still be able to shop in Wallis and Miss Selfridge within Debenhams.’
