BRITISH fashion house Paul Smith has recently upgraded its IT and uninterruptible power supply system with a Whiteley company.

Powertecnique’s system will lead to increased energy efficiencies and reduced utility bills.

The company has installed the latest technology servers to its global IT infrastructure, which is managed in its Nottingham head office, and installed the latest modular UPS technology to ensure mains power cuts won’t affect the critical business infrastructure.

Powertecnique will install its newly developed Maxsis XR modular UPS to support Paul Smith’s data centre.

Caroline Brown, network services manager at Paul Smith, said: ‘Our goal is to improve service delivery to the business, whilst keeping costs down, which we are able to do with the support of Powertecnique.’

Peter Chai-Tsai, sales and marketing director at Powertecnique, added: ‘We previously had a maintenance contract with Paul Smith and when the incumbent UPS came to the end of its life, we were able to offer a replacement modular system to fit the exact requirements.’
