A NURSERY near Wickham wants to share its family feel by throwing open its doors for an event to mark Father’s Day on June 16.

Mount Folly Nurseries was started by Graham and Angela Cowles in 1980, and their son Adam joined four years ago.

As part of the nursery’s Father’s Day event, it will be offering visitors the chance to relax in their new hot tubs, enjoy a local beer at a real ale bar, and try out yoga.

Adam, 34, said: ‘Our Father’s Day fair is primarily a thank you to our local community for their tremendous support which has helped us survive some difficult times.’

Events manager Vicky Garne added: ‘The event is a charity fundraiser for The Rowans Hospice and Naomi House because charities have been suffering from dwindling funds recently as much as businesses.

‘We’ve packed in plenty of fun for all the family so we hope people will come along with their dads to enjoy the day and support two great causes.’

The event will run from 10am until 4pm at the nursery, which is on Southwick Road, North Boarhunt.
