Ferry firm is named the best

Portsmouth-based Brittany Ferries won the Best Holiday Company to Western Europe category at the British Travel Awards last week.

The cross-channel operator also scooped a silver in the Best Camping and Mobile Holiday company category.

Mike Bevens, commercial director, said: ‘We’re delighted to have won this award which recognises our commitment to good value, quality holidays. There aren’t many ways for a family of four to spend a week away in beautiful locations abroad for under £200 a person, during the summer. Our holidays represent excellent value, particularly for families, but they are experiences that will stay with you all year.’

The results were announced on November 23 at a ceremony at Battersea Evolution, London in front of a record number of guests.
