A FESTIVAL for those involved in the creative industries is taking place in Portsmouth this week.

The Future Skills Festival is designed to boost the south’s economy by giving creative businesses the necessary skills to exploit new media and the latest technology.

The event is designed specifically for creative people including artists, designers, performers, writers, creative businesses and companies and other professional people working in the arts, culture and creative industries.

It is being organised by the Creative Industries Business and Skills Development Agency and is being held mainly at the University of Portsmouth until July 14.
