INTERNATIONAL filtration and separation giant Porvair has announced plans for a new £3.5m base in Hampshire.

Porvair Filtration Group has secured a 42,000sq ft premises in New Milton as part of a strategy to consolidate its industrial process business on one site.

The company already employs 50 staff in separate offices around New Milton, and the new building will bring these operations under one roof.

He said: ‘By bringing our industrial processes business into one integrated site, our objective will be to increase efficiency and ensure our customers benefit from market leading innovation in process and filtration.

‘Our £3.5m investment is significant, but it is also in line with the sizeable growth opportunity we see for our products in the industrial process market.

‘We are looking at growth of £1m per year in this sector and this investment will be a huge step towards realising that.

‘I hope that the New Milton centre says to the wider world that we are ambitious and will continue to meet and even exceed our own growth projections.’
