A MAYDAY call from world famous sailor Dee Caffari has been answered by a boat transport firm.

PSP offered to help transport a boat from Cowes to Gosport for a competitive sailing event run by charity Toe in the Water.

Dee Caffari MBE is the charity’s ambassador, so when help was needed to get a Farr 52 race yacht to Gosport ready for the RORC challenge, she knew who to contact.

Frank Dixie, managing director of PSP, said: ‘To transport this equipment was the least we could do for such a great cause.’

Ms Caffari added: ‘We’re a very small charity and moving the sails and cradles is such a specialist job that we could not have done it on our own.

‘We’re so grateful to PSP, which has not only saved us a huge amount of money but has also made the whole process smooth and easy.’
