A FIRM has been called in to look into Pompey’s links with parent company Convers Sports Initiatives (CSI).

CSI was placed into administration in November and it is believed accountancy firm BDO Stoy Hayward has been hired by the Football League to find if the club faces sanctions.

Neither the club or the company could confirm its appointment.

But a Pompey spokesman said: ‘We are aware of the investigation as we have been in constant contact with the Football League about the process.

‘It’s not an investigation, but simply a review of the club’s relationship with CSI as part of the League’s assessment, as part of their regulations.

‘We are providing full assistance and hope to be made aware of the outcome as soon as possible.’
