A SPECIALIST construction recruitment firm in Portsmouth is expanding thanks to new bank funding.

Spinnaker Contract Services has increased its turnover to £5.8m in the last year after only three years of trading, and is now set to add a variety of new management and operational roles to support its growth.

That includes opening a new base in South Wales in May, following on from a major contract win to supply staff to a global manufacturer in Barry, South Wales.

The new roles have been secured with the help of a payroll finance facility from Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance.

Paul Mulholland, managing director at Spinnaker, said: ‘We operate in markets within the construction sector that have remained robust despite the challenging economic climate, and the business has expanded steadily over the last three years.’
