Holly, 26, said: ‘I was with the police for six years, but hair and beauty has always interested me.

‘And being my own boss was also very appealing.

‘There’s nothing like what we are going to be offering at Port Solent, so I saw that the business has good potential, in an amazing location.

‘Everyone seems really keen for it to open.’

The salon will have two double-sided stations, with three stylists, and an aesthetic practitioner working in a filler clinic.

Holly’s mum , Sarah Garcier, will also be working at the salon as a hair
stylist.

The salon will stock Matrix products and Holly said it will have a ‘sleek and classy’ feel.

She hopes to extend the range of treatments on offer once set up.

A special opening party will be held on Saturday from 6pm-8pm.
