MANY businesses have already recognised the benefits of lean business improvement techniques in terms of improving process efficiencies, reducing waste and saving costs.

The techniques have been brought together in a lean office game, which is being made available online from Gosport-based lean business specialists, Fedden USP.

The game is said to be an ideal way of demonstrating how lean applies within office environments both in the service and manufacturing sectors.

The game takes users through how to categorise and prioritise the problems and reduces waste being made.

Neil Fedden, principal consultant at Fedden USP, said: ‘The game is a very useful introduction to the principles of lean business improvement techniques and has been used successfully by a number of our clients. Even though it is called a ‘game’, the results can have significant and sustainable benefits for many professional organisations, manufacturing companies, local government, retailers, central services and senior management teams.’
