Get set for return of Petersfield Beer and Cider Festival

ALE lovers will be in for a treat this weekend.

The Petersfield Beer and Cider Festival is back in town and it’s hoped the occasion will once again be a success.

The event is being held at The Festival Hall, in Heath Road, Petersfield, and will run from tomorrow through to Saturday.

Real ales, lagers and ciders have been ordered from all across the region.

And guests will be treated to live music and a range of hot food to keep them going.

Plus there’s a ‘secondary bar’ with wine and a selection of spirits and soft drinks for those who don’t fancy a beer or cider.

Curries will be dished up courtesy of The Spice Lounge, based in The Square, as well as locally-made pork pies available at all sessions.

Organisers say they received feedback on the back of last year’s event from people who said they want to try more beers.

So this time around, glasses will have third pint markers so people can sample more.

There will be beer tokens on offer costing £1.10, and each will be worth a third of pint.

Breweries being featured include; Triple FFF, Upham Brewery, Hogs Back, Southsea Brewing Company, Betteridge Brewery, Longdog, Langham, The Havant Brewery, Staggeringly Good and Surrey Hills.

The first session takes place from 6pm to 11pm tomorrow.
