A WATERLOOVILLE firm has been acquired by a global engineering giant.
One of the UK’s largest control system integrators, Cougar Automation, has been acquired by VINCI Energies UK & ROI.
Cougar Automation Ltd, which has an office in Silverthorne Way, employs 110 people at its six UK offices.
It deals in control systems integration, industrial internet of things, functional safety and cyber security systems. The firm has more than 25 years’ experience.
Derek Burton, business unit general manager at Cougar Automation said: ‘This is the start of an exciting new chapter for Cougar Automation and will help us continue offering the capacity and professionalism of a large contractor while delivering the high quality service, flexibility and responsiveness of a trusted local business.’
