Golf day and dinner by Fareham firm raises thousands

AN ANNUAL golf day and gala dinner raised thousands of pounds.Â

Employees from across the area took part in the fundraiser organised by Taylor Made Computer Solutions to raise money for Wessex Heartbeat.

Held for the second time, the event raised £24,500 for the charity which supports people with heart disease.

Nigel Taylor, founder of the IT firm based in Fareham, said: '˜We are absolutely thrilled to have raised so much money for this very important charity.

'˜Wessex Heartbeat does some incredible work in the community, not just supporting those affected by heart disease but also working at the coalface to prevent people becoming ill in the first place.

'˜We know the money raised through our golf day will be well-spent helping people across the region.'

Fifteen teams took part in the golf day taking on 18 holes as well as a range of on-the-spot competitions.

Recruitment firm Ronin won the tournament.
