Gosport Post Office move could see service open for longer

The Bridgemary branch, at 186 Nobes Avenue, in Gosport, could be moved to Kev Jones Family Store, at 176 to 180 Nobes Avenue.

Post Office services would be run from two open-plan tills.

Post Office regional manager Will Russell said: ‘We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are.

‘We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the community will meet customer needs.’

The new Post Office would be open Monday to Friday from 5am to 9pm, Saturday from 7am to 9pm and Sunday from 8am to 8pm.

Customers are being invited to give their views on the move in a six-week public consultation which closes on April 15.
